AL BROWN
Al was born in the highlands of Scotland and raised in San Diego, Ca. He moved to Hawaii in 2005 in pursuit of new adventures and found what he was searching for. Al was inspired by the natural beauty surrounding him, from the lush rain forests to the tropical seas expanding beyond the rugged lava filled coastlines. It all started with the uncompromising passion and dedication to what he loves as a photographer. From childhood, Al was always captivated by nature, and always felt something special when ever he found himself surrounded by it.
When combined with photography, it has given Al the creative outlet that’s always been a central part of his life. “ I can’t imagine it any other way. When I’m working, whether it’s standing on a lava shelf at the edge of the blue Pacific waiting for the sunset, or waking up before sunrise to catch the magic moments as earth releases its beauty over the horizon. There’s nothing else I’d rather be doing with the time we have been given here and being able to share the visions I’ve captured with the world.“
Al prefers the amazing rich colors that mother earth provides at dawn and dusk when natural light is at its most spectacular. He uses special equipment to enable him to capture the magic moments naturally at the scene, rather than relying on computer enhancements in the digital dark room. The Hawaiian islands and his informal training helped Al to develop a unique style and skill that continues to make his photographs stunning, vivid, dramatic and instantly appealing and always in high demand.
