DANIEL SULLIVAN

Daniel Sullivan is a Maui-based photographer with over 16 years of experience capturing the breathtaking beauty of Hawaii. Known for his stunning landscape, underwater, and aerial photography, Daniel’s work has been featured in renowned magazines worldwide. His images highlight Hawaii’s natural wonders and bring a unique perspective to commercial projects that demand bold, striking visuals.

Daniel’s dedication to storytelling through photography is evident in his acclaimed book, The Maui Coast: Legacy of the Kings Highway, which chronicles his journey walking the entire coast of Maui in search of the ancient King’s Highway. His adventurous spirit extends beyond the lens—most notably in 2021, when a great white shark attacked his kayak off Maui’s coast. Surviving the ordeal alongside his son, Daniel’s resilience mirrors the boldness of his art.

Beyond Hawaii, Daniel’s travel photography explores vanishing cultures across the globe. His work with the Eagle Hunters of Mongolia, tribes of the Omo Valley, and the Highlands of Papua New Guinea offers a compelling narrative of cultures at the crossroads of tradition and change. His book, Tribes of the Omo Valley, documents five tribes affected by the construction of one of the world’s largest dams, showcasing his ability to merge art and advocacy.

Daniel’s expertise and adventurous perspective make him a sought-after partner for commercial clients looking to create impactful, culturally resonant visuals. Whether capturing Hawaii’s vibrant landscapes or telling global stories, Daniel’s work elevates brands and spaces with authenticity and artistry.
